Recently, we held a Healing Retreat at Holy Family Parish in London. It was a big success, and led our pastor Father Thom Blondin to envision a series of retreats to build up the faith of Christians from our environs.

Have you ever wished you had a deeper prayer life? Found yourself distracted at Mass? Wondered how to hear God’s voice more clearly, or simply felt that the fire of your faith could use some rekindling?
If so, the upcoming Fan the Flame of Faith retreat may be just the opportunity you have been looking for.
On September 18 and 19, Holy Family Parish will host a retreat designed to give us time to step away from the busyness of everyday life and make room for God. The retreat is an invitation to encounter Jesus Christ more deeply, to rediscover the gift of faith we have received, and to allow the Holy Spirit to stir that gift into flame.
Our retreat will begin Friday evening with Eucharistic Adoration and two sessions, including a reflection on God’s Love Poured Out. Through Scripture, teaching, personal testimony, prayer, and Praise and Worship, we will be invited to consider the depth and unconditional nature of God’s love for each of us.
Saturday will continue that journey with sessions on prayer, the Holy Spirit, the Holy Mass, and practical ways of keeping our faith alive in everyday life. We will have opportunities for personal and table reflection, worship, fellowship, along with a free continental breakfast, and lunch.
The retreat will conclude Saturday afternoon with personal prayer ministry. Our prayer teams will be available for those who would like someone to pray with them for their particular intentions.
Fan the Flame of Faith is not simply about learning more about our faith. It is an opportunity to make room for God and to ask what He may be inviting each of us to do next.
Whether your faith feels strong, somewhat dormant, or somewhere in between, you are welcome.
